Revocation of License or Professional Certificate: Is Notification to the Issuing Authority Required?
Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 80 of the Law on Handling Administrative Violations 2012, the procedures for revoking the right to use licenses, practicing certificates with a time limit, or suspending activities with a time limit are stipulated as follows:
In the case of revoking the right to use licenses, practicing certificates with a time limit as stated in the decision on sanction, the competent person who issues the sanction shall confiscate and preserve the licenses, practicing certificates and immediately notify the issuing agency of such licenses, practicing certificates. Upon the expiration of the revocation period specified in the sanction decision, the competent person who issued the sanction shall return the licenses, practicing certificates to the individuals or organizations that had their licenses, practicing certificates revoked.
Thus, according to the aforementioned regulations, when revoking the right to use licenses, practicing certificates with a time limit, there is an obligation to notify the agency that issued such licenses, certificates.
