Returning Goods on the Highway: What Is the Penalty?
According to Clause 6 and Point b Clause 9 Article 24 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP on penalties for operators of trucks, tractors (including trailers or semi-trailers) and similar vehicles transporting goods in violation of road transport regulations as follows:
- A fine ranging from VND 5,000,000 to VND 7,000,000 shall be imposed for one of the following violations:
...
+ Receiving or delivering goods on the highway;
+ Operating a vehicle without or failing to attach a badge according to regulations (for vehicles required to have a badge) or with an expired badge or using a badge not issued by a competent authority.
Thus, the case of a truck delivering goods on the highway will be fined up to VND 7 million.
In addition to the monetary fine, the operator of the vehicle committing the above violations shall also have their driving license revoked for a period ranging from 02 months to 04 months.
