Repeated wheelies on a motorbike: Is vehicle confiscation possible?
Pursuant to Point c, Clause 8, Article 6 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP on the penalties for drivers of motorcycles, motorbikes (including electric bicycles), types of vehicles similar to motorcycles, and types of vehicles similar to motorbikes violating road traffic rules as follows:
A fine ranging from VND 6,000,000 to VND 8,000,000 shall be imposed on drivers committing one of the following violations:
Driving the vehicle on one wheel for two-wheeled vehicles, or on two wheels for three-wheeled vehicles.
Additionally, Point c, Clause 10, Article 6 of this Decree stipulates: Repeat offenses or multiple violations of the acts specified at points a, b, c, and d, Clause 8 of this Article shall result in the revocation of the Driver’s License from 03 months to 05 months and confiscation of the vehicle.
Thus, for the repeated act of performing wheelies with a motorcycle (motorbike), the vehicle will be confiscated in accordance with the aforementioned regulations.
