Providing False Information to Obtain an ID Card, Citizen ID Card or Citizen ID Number Confirmation: What Are the Penalties?
Provision of false information or documents to obtain the People's Identity Card, Identity Card, Citizen Identity Card, or Certificate of Identity Card Number
According to Clause 3, Article 10 of Decree 144/2021/ND-CP, there is a prescribed fine ranging from VND 2,000,000 to VND 4,000,000 for the following actions:
a) Forging or using forged documents, materials, or data to be issued the People's Identity Card, Identity Card, Citizen Identity Card, or Certificate of Identity Card Number;
b) Providing false information or documents to be issued the People's Identity Card, Identity Card, Citizen Identity Card, or Certificate of Identity Card Number.
Thus, the act of providing false information or documents to be issued the People's Identity Card, Identity Card, Citizen Identity Card, or Certificate of Identity Card Number may be fined between VND 2,000,000 and VND 4,000,000.
Using a fake People's Identity Card, Identity Card, Citizen Identity Card, or Certificate of Identity Card Number
In addition, Clause 4 of this Article prescribes a fine ranging from VND 4,000,000 to VND 6,000,000 for the following actions:
a) Forging the People's Identity Card, Identity Card, Citizen Identity Card, or Certificate of Identity Card Number but not being prosecuted for criminal liability;
b) Using a fake People's Identity Card, Identity Card, Citizen Identity Card, or Certificate of Identity Card Number;
c) Pledging, pawning, or accepting the pledge or pawn of the People's Identity Card, Identity Card, or Citizen Identity Card;
d) Buying, selling, renting, or leasing the People's Identity Card, Identity Card, or Citizen Identity Card;
e) Borrowing or lending the People's Identity Card, Identity Card, Citizen Identity Card to perform illegal activities.
The act of using a fake People's Identity Card, Identity Card, Citizen Identity Card, or Certificate of Identity Card Number is subject to a fine ranging from VND 4,000,000 to VND 6,000,000.
