Penalties for notary publics failing to clearly state in notarized documents that the testator was under threat to their life

According to the provisions at Point b, Clause 1, Article 13 of Decree 82/2020/ND-CP, notaries who do not specify in the notarized document that the person requesting notarization did not present the documents due to the testator being threatened with life will be fined up to 3 million VND, specifically as follows:

“1. A fine ranging from 1,000,000 VND to 3,000,000 VND shall be imposed for one of the following acts:

b) Failure to specify in the notarized document that the person requesting notarization did not present the required documents as per regulations due to the testator's life being threatened;”

Thus, according to current legal regulations, notaries who do not specify in the notarized document that the person requesting notarization did not present the documents due to the testator being threatened with life may be fined up to 3,000,000 VND.
