Penalties for Driving a Car to Overtake Another Vehicle Improperly Causing Traffic Accidents

At Point a Clause 7 Article 5 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP, it is stipulated:

Fines ranging from VND 10,000,000 to VND 12,000,000 shall be imposed on drivers who commit one of the following violations. Including:

Failing to pay attention, driving at speeds exceeding the prescribed limit causing traffic accidents; stopping, parking, U-turning, reversing, avoiding other vehicles, overtaking, changing direction, changing lanes not in conformity causing traffic accidents; not driving in the correct lane, not maintaining a safe distance between two vehicles as prescribed causing traffic accidents or entering roads with signs prohibiting entry for the type of vehicle being driven, driving in the opposite direction on a one-way street, driving in the opposite direction on a road with a "No Entry" sign causing traffic accidents, except for violations specified at point a clause 8 of this Article;

In addition, the above violation will also result in the suspension of the driver's license for a period ranging from 02 to 04 months.

=> Therefore, the act of driving a car to overtake other vehicles not in conformity causing traffic accidents will be fined from VND 10,000,000 to VND 12,000,000 and will result in the suspension of the driver's license for a period ranging from 02 to 04 months.
