How much is the penalty for failure to keep bicycles to the right in Vietnam?
I'm an office worker, often traveling by bike to work. I would like to ask, what is the highest penalty for riding on the left side of the one-way street in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Point a, Clause 1, Article 8 of the Decree 100/2019/ND-CP regulating penalties imposed upon operators of bicycles, motored bicycles (including electric bicycles), and other non-motorized vehicles violating traffic rules in Vietnam as follows:
1. A fine ranging from VND 80,000 to VND 100,000 shall be imposed upon a vehicle operator who commits any of the following violations:
a) Failure to keep the vehicle to the right; going in the wrong lane;
Thus, the sanction for failure to keep the vehicle to the right, going to the wrong lane as prescribed as mentioned, can be fined from VND 80,000 to VND 100,000 in Vietnam.
Best Regards!
