How much is fine for operating a motorbike with the license plate of which is not consistent with the Certificate of vehicle registration in Vietnam?
I have bought a used motorbike and have brought all the papers and number plates to the province of the old owner to withdraw the application. During this time, I have attached another number plate for operating. Could you please tell me what are penalties for for operating a motorbike with the license plate of which is not consistent with the Certificate of vehicle registration in Vietnam and how much is this fine?
How much is fine for operating a motorbike with the license plate of which is not consistent with the Certificate of vehicle registration in Vietnam?
In Clause 2, Article 17 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP, it is stipulated:
2. A fine ranging from VND 300,000 to VND 400,000 shall be imposed for:
a) Operating a vehicle without a corresponding certificate of vehicle registration or trailer/semi-trailer registration or using an expired certificate of vehicle registration;
b) Using a Certificate of vehicle registration that is falsified, or not consistent with the chassis number or engine number, or not issued by a competent authority;
c) Operating a vehicle without a license plate (if required); or the license plate of which is not consistent with the Certificate of vehicle registration or not issued by a competent authority;
Thus, according to the above regulations in Vietnam, the act of operating a motorbike with the license plate of which is not consistent with the Certificate of vehicle registration in Vietnam will be fined with a fine ranging from 300,000 VND to 400,000 VND. In addition, the Certificate of vehicle registratio and license plate are confiscated or have been erased.
