How are organizations holding model contests with content offending religious beliefs penalized?
Based on Clause 7, Article 12 of Decree 38/2021/ND-CP, it is stipulated that:
A fine ranging from VND 40,000,000 to VND 50,000,000 shall be imposed for organizing beauty contests or model competitions with contents that distort history, independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity; deny revolutionary achievements; insult religion or belief; disrespect national leaders, national heroes, and famous figures.
Thus, in cases where model contests contain content that insults religion, a fine ranging from VND 40,000,000 to VND 50,000,000 will be imposed.
Please note, this penalty applies to individuals who violate the regulations, and in cases where the violation is committed by organizations, the penalty will be doubled (Clauses 2 and 3, Article 5 of this Decree).
Additionally, the organization of model contests will be suspended for a period ranging from 6 months to 12 months (Clause 8) and illicit gains will be confiscated (Point d, Clause 9, Article 12 of this Decree).
Sincerely!
