Driving a car with a breath alcohol concentration exceeding 0.4 milligrams per liter: What is the penalty?
Based on Clause 8, Article 5 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP, a fine ranging from VND 16,000,000 to VND 18,000,000 shall be imposed on the driver committing any of the acts of driving on the road with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding 50 milligrams to 80 milligrams/100 milliliters of blood or exceeding 0.25 milligrams to 0.4 milligrams/1 liter of breath.
In addition, the driver's license will be revoked for a period from 16 months to 18 months, and the vehicle will be temporarily seized for a maximum of 07 days before issuing the penalty decision.
=> Thus, in your case, you will be fined from VND 16,000,000 to VND 18,000,000 and your driving license will be revoked for a period from 16 months to 18 months. The statement you heard about violating this act being fined VND 15,000,000 is not conformable.
