Can Traffic Violators Request to Review Images of Their Violations?
Point a, Clause 3, Article 19 of Circular No. 65/2020/TT-BCA (effective from August 5, 2020) stipulates:
When monitoring through the surveillance system, speed measuring devices with image recording, recording devices, detecting, and capturing images of individuals and vehicles participating in road traffic law violations, the head of the competent traffic police unit organizes forces to stop traffic vehicles, to control and handle violations according to the provisions of law. In case the violator requests to view the images and recorded results of the violation, they should be shown if the images and recorded results are available at that location; if not, the violator should be guided to view the images and recorded results when arriving at the unit's headquarters for violation handling.
Thus, according to the new regulations, you have the right to request to review the images of your violation.
Sincerely!
