Building a house in the forest, fined up to 10 million VND, is that right?

Based on Clauses 3b and 6b, Article 37 of Decree 167/2013/ND-CP, the provisions are as follows:

A fine ranging from VND 5,000,000 to VND 10,000,000 shall be imposed for any of the following acts:

- Constructing ceilings, floors, partitions, awnings, or storing flammable materials in unauthorized places;

- Building houses or other structures in forests or near forests that do not meet fire safety regulations.

It is mandatory to dismantle illegally constructed structures for the acts specified in Point b Clause 3 and Point b Clause 4 of this Article.

Thus, based on this conduct, the administrative fine ranging from VND 5,000,000 to VND 10,000,000 is fully in accordance with the law in the above case.

Note: This is the penalty applied to administrative violations by individuals. For organizations committing the same violations, the fine is double the amount applied to individuals as stipulated in Article 4 of this Decree.
