Are Foreign Nationals Subject to Penalties for Traffic Violations?
Based on Clause 1, Article 2 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP stipulating the applicable subjects as follows:
Individuals or organizations committing administrative violations in the field of road and railway traffic on the territory of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Therefore, according to the laws on administrative sanctions in the field of road and railway traffic, there is no distinction between Vietnamese citizens or foreigners, as long as the violation occurs in Vietnam, it will be subject to the aforementioned sanctions.
