Are Convertible Cars Participating in Traffic Subject to Penalties?
Based on Article 5 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP stipulating the penalties for drivers of automobiles and similar types of vehicles who violate road traffic rules as follows:
A fine ranging from 200,000 VND to 400,000 VND shall be imposed on drivers who commit one of the following violations:
- Failing to comply with the orders or instructions of traffic signs and road markings, except for violations specified in point a, point d, point g, point h, point i, point k clause 2; point a, point d, point dd, point e, point k, point l, point o, point r, point s clause 3; point b, point c, point d, point dd, point I clause 4; point a, point c, point d, point dd, point e, point g, point i clause 5; point a, point b clause 6; point a, point c clause 7; point a clause 8 of this Article;

- Turning without yielding the way to: Oncoming vehicles; pedestrians, wheelchair users crossing the road in areas without crosswalks;

Thus, according to the current traffic regulations, there is no provision for penalizing participation in traffic with a convertible car. Therefore, this case is not subject to penalties. However, when driving, attention should be paid to opening and closing the sunroof to ensure greater safety in bad weather conditions.
Respectfully!
