What areas does Customs operate in?

Pursuant to Article 7 of the 2014 Customs Law, the customs operation areas include:

+ Land border checkpoints, international railway stations, international civil airports; seaports, inland waterway ports engaged in export, import, exit, entry, transit activities; areas where goods under customs supervision are stored, export processing zones, customs preferential zones; sites for customs procedures, bonded warehouses, tax-suspension warehouses, international post offices, headquarters of customs declarants when post-clearance inspections are conducted; sites for inspecting export and import goods within the customs territory;

+ Other areas and locations that meet state management requirements, permitted for the export, import, and transit of goods, exit, entry, and transit of transportation means as decided by the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam.
