What are the requirements for using a private vehicle for contract-based passenger transportation services?
According to Clause 1, Article 7 of Decree 10/2020/ND-CP prescribing the conditions for contract-based transportation business as follows:
- The vehicle must have a "CONTRACT VEHICLE" badge affixed permanently on the right-side inner front windshield of the vehicle; other information must be displayed on the vehicle;
- The phrase "CONTRACT VEHICLE" must be affixed permanently using reflective material on both the front and rear windshields; the minimum size of the phrase "CONTRACT VEHICLE" is 6 x 20 cm;
- Comply with the regulations at Point c, Clause 1, Article 6 of this Decree.
Referencing Point c, Clause 1, Article 6 of Decree 10/2020/ND-CP specifically as follows: In case a passenger transport business vehicle operates for more than 70% of its total operating time in a month in a given locality, it must obtain the local badge of that locality; the determination of total operating time is based on the data from the vehicle's journey monitoring device.
