Production Date and Expiry Date of Goods Indicated in Lunar Year or Solar Year?
Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 14 of Decree 43/2017/ND-CP, the following provisions are stipulated:
The production date and expiry date of goods are to be recorded in the order of day, month, and year of the Gregorian calendar. In cases where another order is used, that order must be annotated in Vietnamese.
Each number indicating the day, month, and year is to be recorded in two digits; it is permissible to record the year using four digits. The day, month, and year of a single timestamp must be recorded on the same line.
In cases where the production month is required, the date should be recorded in the order of month and year of the Gregorian calendar.
In cases where the production year is required, it should be recorded using four digits representing the year of the Gregorian calendar.
“production date,” “expiry date,” or “expiration date” labeled on the product can be fully written out or abbreviated in capital letters as: “NSX,” “HSD,” or “HD.”
Thus, the labeling of production and expiration dates on goods should comply with the above stipulated Gregorian calendar format.
Sincerely!
