Is it mandatory to use the Vietnamese language in contracts with consumers?
Based on Clause 2, Article 14 of the Law on Protection of Consumer Rights 2010, it is stipulated:
In the case of entering into a contract with the consumer in writing, the language of the contract must be clear and easy to understand.
The language used in the contract concluded with the consumer is Vietnamese, unless otherwise agreed upon by the parties or otherwise provided by law.
Thus, it is not mandatory to use the Vietnamese language when entering into a contract with the consumer.
Sincerely!
