Is it mandatory to include the lot number on the liquor label in Vietnam?
According to Clause 1, Article 10 of Decree 43/2017/ND-CP, the regulation on goods labels must include the following contents:
a) Name of goods;
b) Name and address of the organization or individual responsible for the goods;
c) Origin of goods;
d) Other contents according to the nature of each type of goods specified in Appendix I of this Decree and relevant legal documents.
Based on Appendix I of this Decree, for liquor, additional information is required as follows:
a) Quantity;
b) Ethanol content;
c) Expiry date (if any);
d) Storage instructions (for liquor);
dd) Warning information (if any);
e) Lot number (if any).
*** Not all alcoholic beverages have a Lot number; however, if available, this information must be displayed on the label according to the regulation.***
