How to Record Mandatory Information on Product Labels
Clause 1, Article 4 of Circular 05/2019/TT-BKHCN (Effective from January 1, 2021) prescribes the mandatory content on product labels as follows:
The mandatory content that must be displayed on product labels does not need to be concentrated in one place on the label; it can be printed at different positions on the product. It must ensure that when observed, these contents can be easily and fully identified without having to dismantle the parts of the product. Such mandatory content is considered part of the product label.
Example 1: The frame number of a motorcycle is stamped on the frame, or the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of a car is engraved directly on the body of the car. Although not displayed in the same position as other required content, it is in a position that can easily be recognized without dismantling parts. This content is part of the product label.
Example 2: The production date, expiration date, or quantity of the product is pre-printed on the bottom or body of the bottle. Although not in the same position as other content on the printed label attached to the bottle, it is still easily identifiable. This content is part of the product label.
Respectfully!
