How to Label "VIET NAM DUTY NOT PAID" on Liquor Bottles?
According to the provisions in Clause 5, Article 6 of Decree 100/2020/ND-CP (effective from October 15, 2020), tobacco products, cigars, alcohol, and beer sold at duty-free shops must bear the "VIET NAM DUTY NOT PAID" stickers issued by the Ministry of Finance.
The placement of the "VIET NAM DUTY NOT PAID" stickers is to be implemented according to Appendix I issued together with this Decree. The stickers must be applied before displaying the products at the duty-free shops or before delivering them to the buyer in the case that the goods are directly shipped from the duty-free warehouse to the buyer.
Referring to Section 2 of Appendix I promulgated together with Decree 100/2020/ND-CP, the regulation on the placement of the "VIET NAM DUTY NOT PAID" sticker for alcohol is as follows:
Bottled alcohol (including jars and containers): The sticker must be placed over the opening area where the alcohol can be taken out from the product's packaging (bottle cap, jar lid, container lid, alcohol faucet, etc.) to ensure that the sticker will tear when the bottle is opened and cannot be reused. For types of alcohol stored in specialized boxes that require special care by the manufacturer (sealed with wax, metal, etc.), the sticker must be placed on the lid of the box above the bottle to ensure that when the lid is opened, the sticker will tear and cannot be reused.
Respectfully!
