How to Determine Goods of Undetermined Origin and Provenance?
According to Clause 13, Article 3 of Decree 98/2020/ND-CP (effective from October 15, 2020) stipulating provisions on goods of unknown origin as follows:
Goods of unknown origin are goods circulated in the market without any basis to determine the place of production or origin of the goods. The basis to determine the place of production or origin of the goods includes information displayed on the goods label, goods packaging, documents accompanying the goods; certificates of origin of goods, contracts, sales invoices, customs declarations, and other documents proving legal ownership of the goods and civil transactions between the organization, individual producing the goods and the related party in accordance with the provisions of the law.
