Classification of Baseload, Intermediate Load, and Peaking Generators for the Upcoming Month in the Electricity Market System
In Article 33 of Circular 45/2018/TT-BCT, effective January 1, 2019, the classification of base load, intermediate load, and peak load units for the upcoming month is stipulated as follows:
- The entity responsible for operating the power system and electricity market has the duty to classify the base load, intermediate load, and peak load units for the upcoming month.
- The entity responsible for operating the power system and electricity market has the duty to use the market simulation model to determine the average monthly load factor of power generating units for the upcoming month.
- Based on the average monthly load factor from the simulation results, the generating units are classified into the following three groups:
+ The base load units group includes power generating units with an average monthly load factor greater than or equal to 70%;
+ The intermediate load units group includes power generating units with an average monthly load factor greater than 25% and less than 70%;
+ The peak load units group includes power generating units with an average monthly load factor less than or equal to 25%.
The above is the regulation on the classification of base load, intermediate load, and peak load units for the upcoming month in the electricity market system.
Respectfully!
