Can Household Units Operate as Transportation Businesses?
At Article 3 of Decree 10/2020/ND-CP regulating business and business conditions for transportation by automobile
- Transport business units include: Enterprises, cooperatives, and households engaged in transport business by automobile.
- Transport business by automobile involves performing at least one of the main stages of transport activities (directly operating vehicles, driving, or determining transport fares) to transport passengers or goods on the road for profit.
=> Therefore, according to the above regulations, households are still considered transport business units in the form of transport business by automobile.
The law also regulates the forms of transport business as follows:
- Fixed-route passenger transport business by automobile
- Fixed-route bus passenger transport business
- Taxi passenger transport business
- Contract-based passenger transport business
- Tourism passenger transport business by automobile
- Goods transport business by automobile
