Are Transport Business Vehicles Driving Over the Speed Limit Subject to Badge Revocation?

Based on Clause 10 Article 22 of Decree 10/2020/ND-CP (Effective from April 1, 2020), the transportation business unit will have its badges and signs revoked in the following cases:

- Revocation of all badges and signs for all vehicles of a transportation business unit when the transportation business unit is subjected to a penalty by a competent authority resulting in the suspension of the Transportation Business License;

- Revocation of the badge and sign of violating vehicles in cases where data extracted from the journey monitoring device of each vehicle within one month shows there are 5 or more speed violations per 1,000 km driven (excluding cases where the speed violation is 5 km/h or less);

- Revocation of badges for passenger transport vehicles on fixed routes when the enterprise or cooperative does not operate transportation business on the route for a continuous period of 60 days.

=> Accordingly, based on the above regulation, if a transport business vehicle shows 5 or more speed violations per 1,000 km driven within one month, its badge and sign will be revoked.
