Advertising Alcohol with 25% ABV May Be Fined Up to VND 140 Million?

Point b Clause 1 Article 33 of Decree 38/2021/ND-CP stipulates:

A fine of VND 50,000,000 to VND 70,000,000 for advertising alcoholic beverages with an alcohol content of 15 degrees or higher.

Thus, advertising alcoholic beverages with an alcohol content of 25 degrees will result in a fine ranging from VND 50,000,000 to VND 70,000,000.

Note, this fine applies to individual violators, in the case of organizational violators the fine will be doubled (Clause 2, 3 Article 5 of this Decree). Therefore, if an organization violates, the fine will be up to VND 140,000,000, whereas for an individual violator the highest fine is VND 70,000,000.
