03 Cases Requiring a Construction Permit for Erecting Advertising Signs

The construction of outdoor advertising screens, signs, independent advertising boards, or those attached to pre-existing constructions must comply with the provisions of this Law, other relevant legal regulations, and the local outdoor advertising planning.
According to Clause 2, Article 31 of the 2012 Advertising Law, the construction of outdoor advertising screens, signs, independent advertising boards, or those attached to existing constructions must obtain a construction permit from the local competent construction authority in the following cases:
- Construction of outdoor advertising screens with a single surface area of 20 square meters (m2) or more;
- Construction of signs, advertising boards with a single surface area over 20 square meters (m2) using a metal frame or similar building materials attached to existing constructions;
- Independent standing advertising boards with a single surface area of 40 square meters (m2) or more.
