According to the provisions of Article 6 of the Law amending and supplementing certain Articles of 37 Laws related to Planning 2018 (effective from January 1, 2019), the specific regulations regarding the period of land use planning and plans are as follows:
- The period for land use planning is 10 years. The vision for national land use planning is from 30 to 50 years, and for district level is from 20 to 30 years.
- The period for national land use plans, provincial land use plans, defense land use plans, and security land use plans is 5 years; district level land use plans are developed annually.
