Single Individuals Upon Death Will Receive Funeral Expense Support

Based on Clause 1 Article 11 of Decree 136/2013/ND-CP which stipulates as follows:

- The following subjects are eligible for funeral cost support upon death:

+ Subjects specified in Clauses 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 of Article 5 of this Decree who are receiving monthly social allowances;

Based on Clause 4 Article 5 of Decree 136/2013/ND-CP which stipulates the subjects eligible for monthly social allowances:

- Persons belonging to poor households who do not have a husband or wife; have a husband or wife who has passed away; have a husband or wife who is missing according to the law, and are raising children under 16 years old or raising children from 16 to 22 years old who are attending high school, vocational school, professional secondary school, college, or university for the first degree (hereinafter referred to as poor single parents raising children).

Therefore, according to the above regulations, single individuals receiving monthly social allowances who pass away are eligible for funeral cost support.
