How is the policy on the temporary suspension of contributions to the retirement and survivorship funds for employers facing difficulties due to Covid-19 regulated? Requesting support.
Policy on the suspension of contributions to the pension and survivorship fund for employers experiencing difficulties due to Covid-19 as stipulated in Section II.2 of Resolution 68/NQ-CP of 2021. To be specific:
- Employers who have fully paid social insurance or are currently suspending contributions to the Pension and Survivorship Fund until the end of April 2021, and are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic leading to a reduction of 15% or more in the workforce participating in social insurance compared to April 2021 (including workers who have stopped working, temporarily suspended labor contracts, or agreed to unpaid leave), both the employees and employers are allowed to suspend contributions to the pension and survivorship fund for 6 months from the time of application submission.
- For cases that have been resolved for suspension of contributions according to Resolution No. 42/NQ-CP dated April 9, 2020, and Resolution No. 154/NQ-CP dated October 19, 2020, of the Government of Vietnam, if eligible, will still be resolved, but the total suspension period shall not exceed 12 months.
