Organizing Longevity Celebrations for the Elderly: Required Expenditures

Based on the provisions at Point c, Clause 2, Article 3 of Circular 96/2018/TT-BTC regulating the management and use of funds for initial healthcare for the elderly at their residence; longevity celebrations; credit incentives and commendations for the elderly issued by the Minister of Finance, effective from January 1, 2019, the regulations are as follows:

The People's Committee of the commune, ward, commune-level town is responsible for cooperating with the local Elderly Association and the family of the elderly to organize longevity celebrations for the elderly, ensuring solemnity, frugality, and suitability with the cultural lifestyle, customs, and traditions of the locality; ensuring funds for the following activities:

- Expenses for printing or purchasing "Longevity Certificate," "Longevity Congratulatory Card," making frames for "Longevity Certificate," "Longevity Congratulatory Card";

- Expenses for drinks, fruits, candies. The spending level is 20,000 VND per participant;

- Expenses for renting halls, curtains, tarpaulins, tables, chairs, sound equipment, and other necessary expenses (if any). Spending level according to actual incurred, in line with the estimates assigned by the competent authority.
