Is Meal Allowance Included in Health Rehabilitation Support for Relatives of People Credited with Revolutionary Service?

Based on Article 2 of Ordinance 02/2020/UBTVQH14, the subjects entitled to preferential treatment include:

1. People credited with revolutionary service.

2. Relatives of people credited with revolutionary service.

3. Agencies, organizations, and individuals involved in the implementation of preferential policies for people credited with revolutionary service and their relatives.

According to Article 6 of Decree 75/2021/ND-CP on health rehabilitation nursing:

1. Home-based health rehabilitation nursing: The expenditure is 0.9 times the standard rate/person/session and is paid directly to the entitled person.

2. Centralized health rehabilitation nursing: The expenditure is 1.8 times the standard rate/person/session. The expenditure items include:

a) Meals during the nursing period;

b) Essential medicines;

c) Gifts for the entitled person;

d) Other expenditures directly serving the entitled person during the nursing period (maximum of 15% of the expenditure for centralized health rehabilitation nursing), including: face towels, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, excursions, photography, health counseling, functional rehabilitation, books, newspapers, cultural, artistic, sports activities, and other expenditures serving the entitled person.

Thus, according to current regulations, the expenditure for centralized health rehabilitation nursing is 1.8 times the standard rate/person/session, including meal allowances, essential medicines, gifts, and other expenditures serving the entitled person during the nursing period.

What is the Standard Allowance for Relatives of People Credited with Revolutionary Service?

According to Article 3 of Decree 75/2021/ND-CP, the standard allowance is specified as follows:

1. The standard preferential allowance for people credited with revolutionary service is 1,624,000 VND (hereinafter referred to as the standard rate).

2. The standard rate specified in Clause 1 of this Article serves as the basis for calculating the preferential allowance, subsidies, and policies for people credited with revolutionary service and their relatives. The rates stipulated based on the standard rate in this Decree will be adjusted when the standard rate is adjusted.

The standard preferential allowance for people credited with revolutionary service is 1,624,000 VND.
