Estimate of the State Budget in 2021
According to Article 1 of Resolution 128/2020/QH14 (Effective from December 27, 2020), the 2021 State budget estimates are stipulated as follows:
- Total state budget revenue is 1,343,330 billion VND (one trillion, three hundred forty-three thousand, three hundred thirty billion VND).
- Total state budget expenditure is 1,687,000 billion VND (one trillion, six hundred eighty-seven thousand billion VND).
- The state budget deficit is 343,670 billion VND (three hundred forty-three thousand, six hundred seventy billion VND), equivalent to 4% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), including:
The central government budget deficit is 318,870 billion VND (three hundred eighteen thousand, eight hundred seventy billion VND), equivalent to 3.7% GDP;
The local government budget deficit is 24,800 billion VND (twenty-four thousand, eight hundred billion VND), equivalent to 0.3% GDP.
- The total borrowing of the state budget is 608,569 billion VND (six hundred eight thousand, five hundred sixty-nine billion VND).
