When is permanent residence registration required for a newborn child?
Clause 3, Article 7 of Decree 31/2014/ND-CP stipulates the time limit for registering permanent residence for newborn children as follows:
Within 60 days from the date the child is registered for birth, the father, mother, or household representative, guardian, caregiver, or caretaker of the child is responsible for completing the procedures for permanent residence registration for that child.
Thus, within 60 days from the date of birth registration, the father, mother, etc. must complete the procedures for the child's permanent residence registration.
Since you did not provide the specific birth registration date for your child, you should compare the time according to the regulations mentioned above.
In the case where it is still within 60 days from the date of birth registration for your child, proceed with the permanent residence registration procedures without penalty.
In the case where it has exceeded 60 days from the date of birth registration for your child before proceeding with permanent residence registration, you will be penalized according to Point a, Clause 1, Article 8 of Decree 167/2013/ND-CP for the act of "failing to carry out permanent residence registration in compliance," with a fine ranging from 100,000 VND to 300,000 VND.
Respectfully!
