+ Cover: The cover of the travel permit must bear the national emblem, national flag, and name of the travel permit.
+ Language: The travel permit must be in Vietnamese and the language of the neighboring country, depending on the type of travel permit.
+ Pages: Travel permits have 16 pages for border crossing permits and 28 pages for border crossing permits for the Vietnam-China border region.
+ Size: Travel permits are 88mm x 125mm ± 0.75mm.
+ Cover material: The cover of the travel permit must be made of durable composite material.
+ Printing: The content of the travel permit must be printed using modern technology that meets security requirements and prevents counterfeiting.

+ Vietnam-Cambodia border crossing permit: The cover of this permit is purple (model GTHVN-C).
