In Subsection 2.6, Section 2, QCVN 106:2020/BGTVT National technical regulations on simulation equipment for driver training - car driving learning cabin issued together with Circular 37/2020/TT-BGTVT stipulates requirements for safety and data storage of devices serving driver training management are as follows:
- Data recorded and stored in the DAT device and server must be guaranteed not to be deleted or changed during the prescribed storage period.
- The minimum storage time for data from DAT devices specified in section 2.1.5 of this Regulation on the management server is 05 years.
- The transmission channel from the DAT device to the management server must be encrypted and secure.

In Subsection 2.8, Section 2, QCVN 106:2020/BGTVT National technical regulations on simulation equipment for driver training - car driving learning cabin issued together with Circular 37/2020/TT-BGTVT regulating the installation of DAT devices on vehicles Vehicles of equipment serving driver training management are as follows:
- The DAT device must be installed in a location where the driving instructor and students can observe the display screen, the device's operating status indicator lights, and the instruction manual.
- The image acquisition unit must be installed to capture the entire face of the student practicing driving, but must not obstruct outside visibility.
- The instructions for using the DAT device must show the following information:
+ Phone number and contact address of the DAT equipment supplier;
+ Operation of logging in and out of driving;
+ Operational status of the device through signals and warnings.
What is management and certification of equipment products for driver training management in Vietnam?
In Subsection 3.1, Section 3, QCVN 106:2020/BGTVT National technical regulations on simulation equipment for driver training - car driving learning cabin issued together with Circular 37/2020/TT-BGTVT regulating the management and certification of equipment products. Driver training management services are as follows:
3.1.1. Before circulating on the market, DAT equipment must be declared conformity according to the provisions of Circular No. 28/2012/TT-BKHCN dated December 12, 2012 of the Minister of Science and Technology regulating on declaration of standard conformity, declaration of conformity with regulations and methods of assessing conformity with standards and technical regulations (Circular No. 28/2012/TT-BKHCN) and Circular No. 02/2017/TT-BKHCN dated March 31 3 of 2017 of the Minister of Science and Technology amending and supplementing a number of articles of Circular No. 28/2012/TT-BKHCN dated December 12, 2012 of the Minister of Science and Technology regulating technology declaration of standard conformity, declaration of conformity and methods of assessing conformity with standards and technical regulations (Circular No. 02/2017/TT-BKHCN) and must label goods according to regulations.
3.1.1.1. For domestically produced and assembled DAT equipment products: carry out conformity assessment according to method 5 specified in Appendix II of Circular No. 28/2012/TT-BKHCN and Circular No. 02/2017 /TT-BKHCN.
3.1.1.2. For imported DAT equipment products: carry out conformity assessment according to method 7 specified in Appendix II of Circular No. 28/2012/TT-BKHCN and Circular No. 02/2017/BKHCN.
3.1.2. Conformity announcement
3.1.2.1. DAT equipment products declared conformity must be based on the results of certification of conformity by a certification organization designated by the Ministry of Transport according to the provisions of Decree No. 132/2008/ND-CP dated December 31, 2008 of the Government detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Product and Goods Quality (amended and supplemented by Decree No. 74/2018/ND-CP dated May 15, 2018 and Decree No. 54 /2018/ND-CP dated November 9, 2018).
3.1.2.2. Directorate for Roads of Vietnam is a specialized management agency, receiving dossiers of declaration of conformity from organizations and individuals producing and trading DAT equipment according to the provisions of law.
