Issue of Implementation by the Vietnam Railway Administration and Vietnam Railways Corporation during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Pursuant to Subsection 1, Section VII of the Provisional Guidance on the Organization of Railway Transport Activities to Safely and Flexibly Adapt and Effectively Control the COVID-19 Pandemic (Issued together with Decision 1839/QD-BGTVT in 2021), the implementation is organized as follows:

Vietnam Railway Department, Vietnam Railways Corporation

a) Vietnam Railway Department:

- Lead the implementation of the exploitation plan under Clause 8, Section V of this Provisional Guidance to ensure COVID-19 safety among agencies and units within the Vietnam Railways Corporation;

- Coordinate with agencies and units under the ministries: Ministry of Health, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of National Defense, and the People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities to direct, inspect, and supervise localities and units in implementing this Provisional Guidance;

- Summarize and report to the Ministry of Transport (MoT) on the implementation status of this Provisional Guidance on a weekly basis.

b) Vietnam Railways Corporation:

- Direct railway transport businesses to organize and arrange departments to receive passenger information and notify receiving units in localities where stations are located;

- Direct subordinate units to cooperate with the Ministry of Public Security and localities to trace passengers who have not returned to their localities as committed;

- Summarize and report to the Vietnam Railway Department and the Ministry of Transport on the implementation status of this Provisional Guidance on a weekly basis.
