When is the time for additional enrollment in 10th grade in Ho Chi Minh City?
On August 3, 2023, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training issued Official Dispatch 4161/SGDD-KTKD in 2023 guiding additional enrollment in 10th grade.
The additional enrollment for 10th grade in the school year 2023-2024 in HCMC will be applied to the following specific subjects:
- For students: students who have attended the school from 2023-2024 and failed to pass all 3 public entrance exams to 10th grade.
- For public high schools: The public high schools have not yet recruited enough students according to the assigned quota.

What are conditions for candidates to register for additional enrollment in 10th grade in Ho Chi Minh City?
Pursuant to Section 2 of Official Letter 4161/SGDĐT-KTKD HCM City in 2023 stipulating conditions for candidates to register for additional enrollment in 10th grade in Ho Chi Minh City as follows:
- Students who do not pass all 3 options to enter public high schools and have a total score of 3 subjects in the entrance exam:
Math + Literature + Foreign Language + Priority score (if any) is greater than or equal to the 3rd-option standard of the public high school that wants to register for admission.
- Each student is only allowed to register for additional enrollment in 01 public high school that has not yet filled in the assigned quota and cannot change schools when the deadline for submitting additional enrollment registration documents has expired.
Candidates, when applying directly at the school, wish to supplement the original with a red stamp of the score report of the 10th secondary school entrance exam for the school year 2022-2023.
