Issuing the framework for the time plan for the 2024-2025 school year for preschool, general education, and continuing education applicable nationwide as follows:
1. The earliest school start date is one week before the opening ceremony. For Grade 1, the earliest school start date is two weeks before the opening ceremony.
The opening ceremony is to be held on September 5, 2024.
Semester I is to end before January 18, 2025, and the school year is to be completed and ended before May 31, 2025.
Recognition of primary school program completion and recognition of lower secondary school graduation is to be done before June 30, 2025.
Admission to the initial grades is to be completed before July 31, 2025.
The 2025 high school graduation exam is expected to take place on June 26 and June 27, 2025.
Other national examinations are to be organized according to the regulations and guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The official school start schedule for the 2024-2025 school year for preschool, general education, and continuing education begins the earliest one week before the opening ceremony on August 29, 2024.
For Grade 1, students will start school the earliest two weeks before the opening ceremony, which is August 22, 2024.

According to Article 25 of the 2019 Education Law, the preschool education curriculum is regulated as follows:
Preschool Education Curriculum
- The preschool education curriculum must meet the following requirements:
a) Reflect the goals of preschool education;
b) Specify the requirements to be achieved at each age, educational activities, methods, forms of organizing educational activities, educational environment, and the evaluation of children's development;
c) Be uniform nationwide and implemented flexibly in accordance with the specific conditions of localities and preschool education institutions.
The National Council for Preschool Education Curriculum Appraisal, established by the Minister of Education and Training, is responsible for appraising the preschool education curriculum. The council includes educators, education management officers, scientists with experience and reputation in education, and representatives from relevant agencies, organizations. At least one-third of the council members must be active preschool education teachers. The council and its members are responsible for the content and quality of the appraisal.
The Minister of Education and Training issues the preschool education curriculum after it has been appraised by the National Council for Preschool Education Curriculum Appraisal; stipulates standards and procedures for developing and revising the preschool education curriculum; prescribes standards and selection of toys and learning materials used in preschool education institutions; regulates tasks, powers, operation methods, standards, quantity, and structure of members of the National Council for Preschool Education Curriculum Appraisal.
