Allowances for Meals and Travel Expenses for Lecturers During Training on New Programs and New Textbooks

Based on the provisions of Clauses 7 and 8, Article 5 of Circular 83/2021/TT-BTC (effective from November 20, 2021) which stipulates the expenses for meal allowances, travel costs, and room rental fees for lecturers, teaching assistants, and reporters in the organization of training and retraining to implement new curriculums and new textbooks for general education as follows:

- Depending on the location and time of organizing the training and retraining classes, the agencies and units assigned to host the training and retraining classes shall decide on the meal allowances for lecturers, teaching assistants, and reporters in accordance with the subsistence allowance rates stipulated in Circular 40/2017/TT-BTC.

- In cases where the agencies and units assigned to host the training and retraining classes cannot arrange transportation or accommodation for lecturers, teaching assistants, and reporters and such arrangements must be rented, expenses shall be incurred according to the current rates stipulated in Circular 40/2017/TT-BTC.
