Can a Lawyer's Practicing Certificate be Revoked upon Request?
Is it possible to revoke a Lawyer's Practicing Certificate upon request?
In the case where an individual holds a Lawyer's Practicing Certificate but wishes to abandon the profession to pursue a business career, can the Lawyer's Practicing Certificate be revoked?
Answer: Based on Clause 9, Article 1 of the 2012 Amended Law on Lawyers, the revocation of a Lawyer's Practicing Certificate is regulated as follows:
An individual who has been granted a Lawyer's Practicing Certificate will have the certificate revoked under one of the following circumstances:
- Fails to join any bar association within two years from the date of issuance of the Lawyer's Practicing Certificate;
- ......
- Wishes to cease practicing law on their own volition.
Therefore, if an individual wishes to no longer practice law, their Lawyer's Practicing Certificate will be revoked according to the regulations.
Can a Principal Inspector in the Procuracy sector be exempted from the lawyer apprenticeship?
I understand that only Senior Inspectors are exempted from the lawyer apprenticeship. However, I am curious to know if a Principal Inspector in the Procuracy sector with 4 years of service is exempted from the lawyer apprenticeship?
Answer: Based on Clause 7, Article 1 of the 2012 Amended Law on Lawyers regulating exemptions and reductions in lawyer apprenticeship time:
Individuals who have served as judges, senior inspectors, senior investigators, intermediate investigators, law professors, associate law professors, doctors of law, senior court examiners, senior inspectors in the procuracy sector, senior specialists, senior researchers, and senior lecturers in law are exempted from the lawyer apprenticeship.
Individuals who have served as primary investigators, principal court examiners, principal inspectors in the procuracy sector, principal specialists, principal researchers, and principal lecturers in law are reduced by two-thirds of the lawyer apprenticeship period.
Individuals who have worked in legal specialist positions, legal researcher, or legal lecturer positions, court examiner positions, or procuracy inspector positions for ten years or more are granted a reduction of half the lawyer apprenticeship period.
Thus, according to the regulations, a Principal Inspector in the Procuracy sector as described will have their lawyer apprenticeship period reduced by two-thirds, not exempted.
Will a lecturer be granted a reduction of half the lawyer apprenticeship period?
Dear lawyer, if a lecturer in the legal field has over 10 years of experience, will they be granted a reduction of half the lawyer apprenticeship period?

Therefore, if a lecturer in the legal field has over 10 years of experience, they will be granted a reduction of half the lawyer apprenticeship period.
