Who are the beneficiaries of housing support under Project 1?
According to Article 6 of Circular 02/2022/TT-UBDT (effective from August 15, 2022), the beneficiaries of housing support under Project 1 include:
Poor ethnic minority households living in areas with ethnic minorities and mountainous regions (DTTS&MN); poor Kinh households living in extremely difficult communes and villages in regions with ethnic minorities and mountainous regions (DTTS&MN) who do not have housing or whose housing is damaged or dilapidated.
Households receiving support for homestead land will also be considered for housing support.
What are the support contents and methods of implementing housing support under Project 1?
According to Article 7 of Circular 02/2022/TT-UBDT (effective from August 15, 2022), the support contents and methods of implementing housing support under Project 1 are as follows:
Support for the construction of 01 house according to local customs and practices; the support content is applied according to the provisions at point c, clause 5, Section III of the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the 2021 - 2025 period issued together with Decision No. 90/QD-TTg dated January 18, 2022, of the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam.
Depending on the actual situation of each locality and the wishes of the beneficiaries, the commune-level People's Committee (UBND) mobilizes households to organize their own construction or repair of houses to ensure requirements for area and quality as prescribed. In cases where people cannot build their own houses, the commune-level People's Committee organizes the construction for these beneficiaries to ensure requirements for area and quality according to conformity.
