Regulations on the Management of Telecommunication Peripheral Cables
According to Section 3 of the National Technical Regulation on the Installation of Telecommunication Peripheral Cable Networks issued together with Circular 20/2019/TT-BTTTT (effective from July 1, 2020), the management of telecommunication peripheral cables is regulated as follows:
- The use of aerial cables, cables in conduits, directly buried cables, cables in tunnels, and cables crossing rivers must be in accordance with the planning and other regulations of the local management authority.
- The installation of auxiliary equipment (cable cabinets, cable boxes, television signal splitters, cable conduits, cable pits, cable trenches, cable poles) on public works must comply with current regulations of the local management authority. If installed on works of any managing unit, it must be approved by the managing unit of those works.
- Telecommunication enterprises, when designing and installing telecommunication peripheral cables and auxiliary equipment, must comply with the regulations stated in this Standard.
- Telecommunication enterprises must cooperate with relevant units in ensuring the telecommunication peripheral cable network and must cooperate with relevant units in case the telecommunication peripheral cable network of the telecommunication enterprise is affected during the construction of other technical infrastructure works.
- Telecommunication enterprises must fully and promptly provide documents and information related to the construction and exploitation of the telecommunication peripheral cable network as per current regulations.
