Ministry of Justice: What is the Electronic Civil Status Database used for?
Section 2, Article 8 of Decree 87/2020/ND-CP (effective from September 15, 2020) provides regulations on the extraction and use of the electronic civil status database of the Ministry of Justice as follows:
The Ministry of Justice extracts and uses the electronic civil status database to issue copies of civil status extracts, and to verify civil status information for all cases with civil status information in the electronic civil status database; implement the connection and sharing of data between the electronic civil status database and other databases of ministries, central authorities, and local authorities; and conduct other state management activities in the civil status field as stipulated by law.
