On December 22, 1944, under the red flag with a yellow star, 34 officers and soldiers of the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army solemnly recited the 10 oaths of honor.
Thus, the "10 oaths of honor of the Soldiers of the People's Army of Vietnam" was established on the founding day of the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army (December 22, 1944).

We, soldiers of the People's Army of Vietnam, in the name of the revolutionaries, solemnly swear under the glorious flag of the Fatherland:
- Sacrifice everything for the nation of Vietnam. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, strive to achieve a peaceful, independent, and socialist Vietnam, positively contributing to the global people's struggle for peace, national independence, democracy, and socialism.
