What Principles is the Protection of National Security Based On?
Based on Article 5 of the National Security Law 2004, the principles of activities for protecting national security are as follows:

Under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the unified management of the State; mobilize the comprehensive strength of the political system and the entire nation, with the specialized forces responsible for protecting national security playing a core role.
Closely combine the task of protecting national security with the tasks of building and developing the economy, culture, and society; effectively coordinate security, defense, and foreign affairs activities.
Proactively prevent and actively combat to thwart all conspiracies and activities infringing upon national security.
