Based on Article 6 of Circular 75/2024/TT-BCA stipulating the list of military weapons, sports weapons, rudimentary weapons, support tools, and highly lethal knives:
Article 6. List of military weapons, sports weapons, rudimentary weapons, support tools, and highly lethal knives
- Enclosed with this Circular are appendices listing military weapons, sports weapons, rudimentary weapons, support tools, and highly lethal knives, including:
a) Appendix 1: List of military weapons stipulated in point b clause 2 Article 2 of the Law on the management and use of weapons, explosives, and support tools;
b) Appendix 2: List of sports weapons stipulated in point a clause 5 Article 2 of the Law on the management and use of weapons, explosives, and support tools;
c) Appendix 3: List of rudimentary weapons stipulated in point a clause 4 Article 2 of the Law on the management and use of weapons, explosives, and support tools;
d) Appendix 4: List of support tools stipulated in point a and point b clause 11 Article 2 of the Law on the management and use of weapons, explosives, and support tools;
dd) Appendix 5: List of highly lethal knives stipulated in clause 6 Article 2 of the Law on the management and use of weapons, explosives, and support tools.

Which subjects are authorized to be equipped with military weapons in Vietnam?
According to Article 9 of Circular 75/2024/TT-BCA stipulating those authorized to be equipped with military weapons, explosives, and support tools:
Article 9. Those authorized to be equipped with military weapons, explosives, and support tools
- Entities equipped with military weapons and support tools include:
a) Departments and Commands under the Ministry of Public Security; police academies and schools;
b) Provincial-level police;
c) Prisons, detention centers; mandatory education centers, reformatory schools; Police training and professional development centers;
d) District-level police including county, district, district-level town, city under province, city under central city (commonly referred to as district-level police);
dd) Commune-level police.
- Entities authorized to be equipped with sports weapons include:
a) Police academies and schools;
b) Police training and sports competition centers;
c) Police training and professional development centers with sports training activities.
- Entities described in points a, b, c, and d clause 1 of this Article are authorized to be equipped with military explosives.
Those authorized to be equipped with military weapons include:
- Departments and Commands under the Ministry of Public Security; police academies and schools
- Provincial-level police
- Prisons, detention centers; mandatory education centers, reformatory schools; Police training and professional development centers
- District-level police including county, district, district-level town, city under province, city under central city (commonly referred to as district-level police)
- Commune-level police

What are regulations on the transportation of military weapons in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Article 29 of the Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives, and Support Tools 2024 stipulating the transportation of military and sports weapons:
- Must have a permit or transportation order from a competent authority or individual
- Ensure confidentiality and safety
- The transportation of dangerous military and sports weapons must use specialized vehicles and ensure safety, fire, and explosion prevention
- Military and sports weapons must not be transported together with people on the same vehicle, except for the driver and escort
- Do not stop or park vehicles transporting military and sports weapons in crowded areas, residential areas, gasoline stations, or places with significant defense, security, economic, cultural, or diplomatic structures. In cases where overnight rest is necessary or due to breakdowns where there is insufficient protection force, the driver or escort must immediately notify the nearest military or police authority to coordinate protection as needed.
