Which Authority Will Verify the Administrative Boundary Records at the Commune Level?
Based on Clause 3, Article 29 of the Land Law 2013, the administrative boundary dossier is regulated as follows:
The administrative boundary dossier includes paper and digital documents that reflect information regarding the establishment and adjustment of administrative units, as well as the boundary markers and lines of those administrative units.
The administrative boundary dossiers of subordinate levels are confirmed by the directly superior People's Committee; the administrative boundary dossiers of provinces and centrally-run cities are confirmed by the Ministry of Interior.
The administrative boundary dossiers at any level are stored at the People's Committee of that level and the superior People's Committee, the Ministry of Interior, and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
Thus, in principle, superior levels will confirm the administrative boundary dossiers of subordinate levels. Therefore, the administrative boundary dossiers of communes are directly confirmed by the district-level People's Committee.
Sincerely!
