What is the duration of receiving postpartum recovery allowance in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Article 103 of the Law on Social Insurance in 2014 stipulaing the settlement of postpartum recovery allowance as follows:
Settlement postpartum recovery allowance and recovery after illnesses
1. Within 10 days from the date when the employee meets the conditions for receiving the convalescence and health recovery allowance after illness, maternity, the employer shall prepare a list and submit it to the social insurance agency.
2. Within 10 days from the date of receipt of the complete dossier in accordance with the regulations, the social insurance agency is responsible for settling and organizing payment for the employee; if not resolved, it must respond in writing and state the reason.
Pursuant to Clause 4, Article 5 of the Procedures for settling the benefits of social insurance, payment of social insurance benefits, unemployment insurance benefits issued together with Decision 166/QD-BHXH in 2019 stipulating the responsibility for settling and paying maternity benefits in Vietnam as follows:

What documents are included in the application for postpartum recovery allowance in Vietnam?
According to Point 2.4, Clause 2, Article 4 of the Procedures for settling the benefits of social insurance, payment of social insurance benefits, unemployment insurance benefits issued together with Decision 166/QD-BHXH in 2019 stipulating the application for postpartum recovery allowance in Vietnam as follows:

Acceptance of paper documents submitted by the employer in accordance with the instructions at points 2.1, 2.2, 2.4 of this clause and documents submitted by the employee, the employee's family members in accordance with the instructions at point 2.3 of this clause with the components of the dossier for each type of regime as follows:

In case of enjoying allowance after illness, maternity, occupational accident, occupational disease: The dossier as stipulated in Clause 3, Article 100, Clause 5, Article 101 of the Social Insurance Law; Clause 1, Article 60 of the Law on Occupational Safety and Health is List 01B-HSB compiled by the employer.
According to Clause 5, Article 101 of the Law on Social Insurance in 2014, the following documents are required to apply for maternity benefits:

1. Dossier for maternity benefits for female employees who give birth includes:
a) A copy of the child's birth certificate or a copy of the child's birth certificate;
b) A copy of the child's death certificate in the event of the death of the child, a copy of the mother's death certificate in the event that the mother dies after giving birth;
c) A certificate from a competent medical institution stating that the mother is not healthy enough to care for the child after giving birth;
d) A medical record extract or discharge slip for the mother in the event that the child dies after birth and has not been issued a birth certificate;
