On December 22, 2021, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Circular 16/2021/TT-BVHTTDL stipulating codes, standards for professional titles and salary classification of cultural heritage officials.

Accordingly, the regulations on professional titles of cultural heritage officers include:

- Class I heritage member (Code: V.10.05.29);

- Class II heritage member (Code: V.10.05.16);

- Class III heritage member (Code: V.10.05.17);

- Class IV heritage member (Code: V.10.05.18).

(Compared with current regulations, Circular 16/2021/TT-BVHTTDL has added the professional title of class I heritage officer).

In addition, Circular 16/2021 also stipulates the standards for training, retraining and professional competence for the title of Class I heritage member as follows:

- Possessing a master's degree or higher relevant to the field of cultural heritage;

- Possess a certificate of standardization of professional titles and professional titles of cultural heritage officers.

- Having in-depth knowledge on the protection and promotion of cultural heritage values;

- Having basic information technology skills, using foreign languages or using ethnic minority languages for officials working in ethnic minority areas according to job position requirements,...
